Membership in the WPHC qualifies you to compete for over 120 year-end awards, from trophies to belt buckles, qualifies you for both national and state points, and makes you a part of a club that likes to horse around! There is also a Spring picnic, Fall trail ride, the annual awards banquet and other activities planned throughout the year. Your membership also includes a quarterly newsletter and of course, a copy of the Wisconsin Paint Horse Directory! The Wisconsin Paint Horse Directory has a listing of all the members for your convenience. Remember, exhibitors and owners must all be WPHC members for points to count from the very first approved show in April.

2014 Zone 5 Scholarship APPLICATION
Calling WPHC members 18-24 years of age who plan on attending college or thought of attending college please take a look at the following information. Scholarships are awarded at the Zone shoe which will be held on Thanksgiving weekend in Cedar Rapids, IA.

APHA ZONE 5 SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM (Download a PDF)
To provide scholarship funds for Zone 5 youth members pursuing college education.
Any youth member in good standing from one of the Zone 5 states. This fund is dedicated, but not limited, to college-age students between the ages of 18-24 years.
AMOUNT OD SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS:
The scholarship award shall be determined by the Zone 5 committee. Multiple scholarship may be given if monies allow. Funds will be paid directly to the educational institution, and shall ONLY be used for tuition and /or books.
SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS COMMITTEE:
Shall consist of three Zone 5 directors appointed by the Zone 5 Committee President. The President shall serve as a non-voting member. The decision of the Scholarship Awards Committee shall be final.
HOW TO APPLY:
Applicants must submit the official application form to the Zone 5 Scholarship Awards Committee. Applications will be accepted by the Scholarship Awards Committee until June 1st of each year. Scholarship awards may be presented by one or more of the Zone 5 directors in the state of the winning applicant. The scholarship award is a one-time award, and students are eligible to reapply and receive funding in successive years.

APHA Zone 5 Scholarship Program (Download a PDF)
- Sons and daughters of members of APHA- chartered state associations, or Youth members of said associations, within the Zone 5 area are eligible.
- Must have been accepted by or enrolled in a accredited community college, junior college, college or university.
- Must be a high school graduate.
- Student must maintain a minimum 2.5 grade point average throughout their college career.
- Student must maintain at least a twelve-hour class load and/or be considered a full-time student paying full-time tuition.
- Scholarships will be awarded after completion of at least one semester and confirmation of continued enrollment.
